Walker Ventures invests in technology companies, with a bias towards Internet infrastructure and software technologies in the Mid-Atlantic region. financial returns, but we understand it takes time to build your company's foundation and grow into a successful organization.
Our target opportunity is considered the investment of seed capital in "early-stage" companies. By concentrating on this market, we are afforded the opportunity to see very early-stage technologies and services that will be the next evolution of mainstream technologies. The complement of our team provides our portfolio companies with human assets that add significant value beyond the traditional funding model.
Our Funds
Walker Ventures currently has three funds which include Walker Investment Fund II, SBIC. The combined Walker Investment Funds total
approximately $100 million under management. We have developed a strong base in the Mid-Atlantic with a seasoned team of investment professionals.
In addition to our own funds, we manage the Technology Council of Maryland's Maryland Angels Council (MAC). The MAC provides equity capital to early stage entrepreneurial companies based primarily in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region which are in the new media, e-commerce, telecom, software, Internet, bioscience or health markets.
